Jessica Bailey-Wheaton Elected Bridge Bread Board President

Seasoned healthcare legal professional brings proven leadership and business acumen to non-profit social enterprise

ST. LOUIS, MO (January 15, 2025) – Bridge Bread Bakery, a non-profit providing restorative employment and housing assistance to people without safe and stable housing, today announced the election of Jessica Bailey-Wheaton as President of its Board of Directors. Ms. Bailey-Wheaton, a St. Louis City resident, is a highly respected legal and healthcare professional with a distinguished career in leadership and business strategy.

Ms. Bailey-Wheaton currently serves as Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Health Capital Consultants, a nationally recognized healthcare financial and economic consulting firm.In this role, she oversees a wide range of legal and business matters, demonstrating her expertise in strategic planning and corporate governance.  

Throughout her career, Ms. Bailey-Wheaton has been actively involved in various professional and community organizations, including six years of service on the Bridge Bread Board. During her time as a Board member, she helped Bridge Bread transition from a volunteer-led program to a sustainable, professionally-managed organization, helping to launch the bakery’s Soulard Farmers Market location, Housing Incentive Program, and annual Bread & Butter Gala.

Bridge Bread Founder Fred Domke previously served as Board President and will continue to serve as Executive Director, providing continuity as an invaluable advisor to the organization, offering his expertise and support to the Ms. Bailey-Wheaton and the entire Bridge Bread team.
